SCSI Bus Termination and Cables
Proper bus termination is essential for successful data transfers across a SCSI bus. Use an Active Termination on any SCSI bus utilizing FAST SCSI or higher synchronous transfer rates. Terminate the SCSI bus at each physical end of the bus.
Use the highest quality SCSI cables available, since data integrity is dependent upon the quality of the bus transmission line. Constant and matched impedance is necessary to minimize reflections and attenuation of the SCSI signals, especially when using Single-ended SCSI. Reflected and weak signals can result in data corruption.
