Using PowerFile Service Mode to Manually Remove Discs

 

This document covers the process of manually removing disc from the PowerFile C200 by using Service Mode. This process should only be done if the C200 does not recognize it has any discs.

 

Removing Disks from the changer:

 

If you press the EJECT button three times all of the discs should be ejected. If this does not work-

 

Go into Service mode by pressing the following sequence on the front panel:

 

Right arrow - Right arrow - Left arrow - Right arrow - Right arrow

 

The display should show "Service Mode" for a brief time.

Press the "Mode" key six times - the display will say "Manual Disk Eject DRV#1?"

 

If you have a small number of discs to eject:

 

Press the "Right Arrow" button three times. The display should say "Manual Disk Eject Slot #001?" and the tray will move to the first slot.

 

      If the slot is empty: Press the "Right Arrow" button. The changer will move to the next slot.

 

      If there is a disk in the slot: Press "Eject" and remove the disk. The changer will automatically move to the next slot.

 

Continue until all of the disks are removed.

 

If you have a larger number of discs to eject:

 

      Press the "Right Arrow" button two times. The display should say "Manual Disk Eject - Dump Chgr?"

 

      Press "Eject" The changer will go to each slot. If there is a disk in the slot, it will eject the disc. If the slot is empty, the gate will open and close 3-4 times, and then go to the next slot.

 

When all of the disks have been ejected, you can turn the changer off to stop the dump process.
